Dedham Vale Community Health Centre
Through local fund-raising the purpose-built health centre was completed and available for medical use in the Autumn of 2008. The premises, part of a building that includes three affordable housing units, contains two consultation rooms which are fully fitted out for the full range of GP consultations. It has been in continuous use by Ardleigh Medical Practice since July 2 2009 except for one week in March 2010 when extensive sound-proofing measures were undertaken in order to give patients a high degree of confidentiality when visiting their doctor or nurse.
The first users of the DVCHC are members of the Dedham Vale Network who offered complementary medical services from November 2008 until October 2009. Since then twice-weekly Homeopathy sessions are given by Arlene Lyne (01206 299 834).
